Riding a horse was a dream of mine as a child, a dream that was fulfilled. We want our children to be able to live their dreams, too. We are especially thrilled that the dreams of riding a horse by our special needs daughter, Rachel, are coming true.
We know Rachel dreams of riding horses and once a week she experiences her dreams when she rides with Sunrise EquiTherapy. When we drive up to the stable for therapy lessons with Sunrise, Rachel laughs with so much excitement! She is so ready for her lesson. She is so excited that she has the car door open before I turn the engine off! She'll run to see everyone and especially the horse she rides, Rajati.

Rachel is mentally handicapped. A lot of things don't make sense to her. She forgets directions and has difficulty staying focused. When Rachel is living her dream, she focuses on what she is doing, works on following directions and puts together what she has learned. I haven't seen her work so hard doing anything else!
We have found our own dream come true with Sunrise EquiTherapy. Rachel having fun and learning at the same time is amazing! We never dreamed that we could find such dedicated professionals and volunteers. Team them up with the magic of horses and they can make dreams come true.
