In order to become a client or rider with the Sunrise EquiTherapy program you must first contact Julie Wood, 402.781.2781 or email her at woodsunrise99@msn.com. Julie is the director of Sunrise EquiTherapy and one of the certified instructors.

Julie will complete an interview, asking questions and determining if the program is something beneficial to the potential client. The client/parent/guardian are encouraged to ask questions and even set-up a time to come and observe a lesson.

All paperwork must be completed and submitted to Julie Wood via mail before lessons are scheduled. All paperwork must be completed on an annual basis.

• Lessons are once a week for a 6-week session from April to October 31st.
• Lessons are during the week after school or in the summer in the morning.
• Lessons are not held during holidays.
• Lessons will be year round when our new facility is built!!!

Sunrise encourages the involvement of teachers and health care professionals. Goals can be set for the session in conjunction with the client's IEP or treatment plan and also can be set by the client/parent/guardian.

Sunrise EquiTherapy upholds a weight limitation for the client's safety as well as the safety of the volunteers and the welfare of our therapy horses.
