Lucky boy is our 7 year old, Miniature Horse. He is also retired from the show ring where he was shown in driving and was a winner at the Denver Stock Show in 2003! But now he is registered as a therapy horse through the Delta Society and Lincoln Pet Partners.
He makes visits to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, day programs for adults with severe / profound disabilities, Malone Center (Lincoln, NE), and Alegent Immanuel Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Center (Omaha, NE). He is the only horse in the Midwest to enter a hospital! Many of the people he meets have lived on farms, so they enjoy reminiscing about the "old days." He puts a smile on faces wherever he goes. Lucky Boy has been featured in the Omaha World Herald, on KPTM, KMTV, the MSNBC Web Page and the Alegent Health Weekly News.
