My affiliation with Sunrise EquiTherapy began simply as a fulfillment of service hours for a college class. From that has evolved a passion. I could have never imagined the impact equine therapy would have on my life as a volunteer. Volunteering has committed me to something much larger than myself and the experience has provided me with meaningful relationships to last a lifetime. As I drove away from Sunrise each week, I had a sense of satisfaction that, for a couple of hours, the spot light was not on me and I had made a difference in someone else’s life.
