Kevin Cornell | Delta Society Certified Handler of Lucky Boy

Kevin is a long time friend of Sunrise EquiTherapy. He was introduced to the program five years ago when he participated in a Sunrise Day Camp with Alegent Immanuel Rehabilitation Recreation Program. Kevin broke his neck 18

years ago and suffered a spinal cord injury. He is an incomplete quadriplegic. But that doesn’t slow him down. He loved the Day Camp experience so much he decided to ride with the Sunrise program. Years later he met Lucky Boy and became a certified handler through the Delta Society. Kevin leads Lucky Boy through the halls of Immanuel Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Center and directs him as he meets many of the patients. Kevin drives once a week from Omaha to Eagle to participate as a rider in the program.
