What Sunrise EquiTherapy has done for me is it has shown me how to be responsible. I have to groom the horse I ride and care for him before and after the lesson. If you have a child who is 12 to 13 years old and they want to ride with the program then they may even have to clean the hooves as well as groom.

Viola (my instructor) and my Mom even say that my communication skills have improved not only while at the barn but even at school. I learned not to judge a large animal when you first see it. At first I didn't want to ride, but now I can't wait to ride. You kinda feel like you do when you are waiting for school to start & excited!

I got to use the reins on the second lesson. On my last lesson I even loped and I even did it on purpose, so I feel pretty proud about that!
