My involvement with Sunrise was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had over my many years of being involved with horses.  It reminded me of the powerful, healing effect that horses have on people, and the joy that can be had simply by being in their presence.  There is nothing quite like seeing a child forget about their disability and focus on their ability when on the back of a horse.  The pride in their eyes is unforgettable.  I can also say this was a wonderful experience for my horse.  He came out of "retirement" to be a therapy horse, and thoroughly loved his job and the attention lavished upon him by the program participants and volunteers.  Being involved with Sunrise did both of our hearts good!
